This seasonal Peru release comes from the lush highlands of Pichanaqui in the Junín region. Grown at 1700 MASL and carefully washed for clarity, this cup delivers deep cacao, baking spices, fresh bell pepper, lively acidity, and a thick, buttery mouthfeel.
It is a structured, expressive coffee that balances sweetness and brightness with a grounded, comforting finish. Fresh earthy garden notes give the cup a lively acidity; structured caramels, baking spices and cacao fill in with a symbiotic harmony; while heavy lipids provide a weightiness that is rich and cohesive. This coffee is a spice rack wrapped in velvet earth.
Terroir & Cup Profile
The terroir of Pichanaqui sits at the edge of the Amazon basin, where warm days, cool nights, frequent cloud cover, and steady rainfall slow cherry maturation. Coffee grows on steep, forested slopes with rich, living soils that concentrate sugars while preserving acidity.
The result is a layered and expressive cup: deep cacao and baking spice notes supported by structured brightness and a subtle vegetal sweetness, finishing clean with a buttery mouthfeel.
