This coffee is a velvet blanket for the taste buds with an underlying baking spice note. The top notes are bursting with juicy notes of tropical fruit and very sweet.
Farm Details
Colombia boasts, consistently, some of the most excellent and approachable coffees in the world. Americans in particular are dispositioned to Colombian coffee because of its proximity to the US, and also how sweet the coffee is perceived to be.
There is intense flavor, but if you let the coffee cool off to room temperature, some fruity and delicate notes emerge.
The terroir and altitude of Colombia are perfectly suited for coffee production. At these elevations, coffee plants thrive, and the cooler climate allows beans to ripen slowly, absorbing more sugars and developing complex flavor profiles.
Farming these dramatic elevations isn’t easy, but well-draining volcanic soils, warm days, and cool nights create perfect growing conditions.
Las Garzas means “the herons” and is what the farmers call this naturally processed, community lot situated on the 3rd highest mountain in Colombia. It will give you wings to soar to the highest heights of your day.
