Microlot Series No 4: Zambia - Anaerobic Fermentation
Medium Roast
Single origin Zambia
The fourth installment of our microlot series.
Microlot Series No. 4 comes from Kateshi Estate in Zambia’s Northern Province, but unlike our Seasonal Zambia Peaberry, this one is a natural processed coffee with extended anaerobic fermentation, which takes the same farm story in a deeper, heavier, more fruit-forward direction.
In the cup, it’s viscous and structured with raspberry wine, raisin, stonefruit, and caramel up front. The finish brings in milk chocolate and baking spice, with a winey kick that keeps the whole thing layered instead of just loud.
It’s complex, expressive, and built for the person who wants to taste what processing can do.
